In the cellar
This Semillon is harvested from the south facing vineyards on Weltevreden Estate. The grapes were picked at
optimum ripeness and taken into the cellar in the early morning to maintain freshness and acidity. After being inoculated with yeast, the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, and matured in older French oak barrique for 12 months. Only 1500 bottles produced.

Good moisture levels in the soil throughout the growing season with very little moisture stress. The late start to the
2021 harvest was one of the distinguishing hallmarks of this vintage, with the cooler growing conditions produced
elegant wines that will make them accessible and drinkable from an earlier age
